What is shilajit?
Shilajit is a dark-colored kind of resin.
It is humus fossilized millions of years ago, and collected in the mountains.
Shilajit from the Himalayas concentrates the most therapeutic benefits.
This viscous substance is a classic of Ayurvedic medicine.
Shilajits vary in composition according to their origin. They are generally rich in:
- Fulvic acids.
- Humic acids.
- Benzoic acid.
- Fatty acids.
- Amino acids.

How to take it?
After harvesting in the mountains, shilajit is filtered and purified.
In ayurveda, the purification process (rarely mentioned on the label) is supposed to increase its medicinal value. Triphala or cow’s milk may be used, which is not always vegan.
